Places Available in Palms’ 94th Orientation

This course has now completed. Our next course is scheduled for September 2013. For more information, please contact us.

Palms Australia’s 94th cross-cultural Orientation Course is open for bookings from individuals and organisations seeking to enhance their global competency.

The course is scheduled to run from January 12th to 20th, 2013 at Hartzer Park Conference and Retreat Centre in Bowral, just 90 minutes from Sydney or 2 hours from Canberra.

Hartzer Park provides a beautiful retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city, allowing participants to fully immerse themselves in the learning experience.

Palms’ Orientation Course has been acclaimed by generations of cross-cultural volunteers and professionals as the best preparation for engagement in international development available.

Expert facilitators cover themes of health, personality, culture, development, communication and security, preparing each participant to fully consider how each issue affects each individual.

The strength of the course comes from its interactive nature, calling upon participants to engage, challenge and reflect rather than simply providing a “laundry list” of cultural traits or dos and don’ts.

By using a variety of techniques, including presentations, simulations, field trips, planning activities and panel discussions, Palms is able to engage all learning styles and maximise peer learning.

The course includes 9 days (8 nights) food, accommodation and training for participants. Transfers to/from Sydney airport are also possible with advance notice.

We are able to offer the course for just $1900, with further discounts available to organisations or individuals already affiliated with Palms Australia.

Please contact Li Li on (02) 9518 9551 or via email to reserve a place on the course. Deposits must be received by 17th December 2012.

A full list of sessions and outcomes are available on request.  Please do not wait to reserve your spot. This is a course you will never forget.

Palms Australia has been recruiting, preparing, sending and supporting Australians for engagement in cross-cultural development for 51 years. In this time, we have prepared over 1500 individuals to work in over 40 countries.
