Anne Chapman: A personal appeal from Anne Chapman

Students with Afon (my assistant teacher) and me outside my house
Hi Everyone

I would like to say a very big THANK YOU to all my friends, colleagues, family and supporters for your help and encouragement throughout 2011.

Your support continues to motivate me as I work to help the people in Atabae, East Timor improve their way of life.

As you know I love volunteering to help the East Timorese people. It is fun and immensely rewarding. So much so that I am returning for another 12 months after Christmas.

My role is to teach and empower them so

  • that they can have some choices in their lives,
  • that with education they can get a job, and
  • that their parent’s lot of fishing, farming or making babies are not their only options.

To continue to do this I would love your help.

If you are able to help please click on this link to PALMS ( I am a volunteer with this Australian Aid Organisation). http://www.palms.org.au/volunteers/anne-chapman/

The link will also give you more information about my role and the people of East Timor (eg. many of East Timorese people live on less than $2.00 a day!)

Your gift can make a huge difference to the lives of many families less fortunate than us.

With wishes for a peace filled Christmas and a joy filled New Year

Lots of love.
