News: Fundraising Concert for Timor-Leste ‘reverse’ volunteers

St James Church, Glebe/Forest Lodge, will be hosting a concert to raise funds and awareness for Palms Australia’s new “reverse volunteering” project. This project involves a visit to Australia by two Timorese girls, to further develop their understanding of the hospitality industry following from the training they received at Venilale Girls’ Vocational School.

The story of Veronica and Celina’s visit to Australia, including details of how you can help are available here.

The concert will be held on Sunday 21st September from 2pm.  All are welcome.

There is the idea that those who are being helped ought to be consulted over the matters that concern them. - Teju Cole
