Eradicate Extreme Hunger and Poverty

 

MDG 1 icon Palms Australia volunteers are working in a variety of areas on income development, nutrition and sustainable food security projects.

By sharing skills with their local counterparts, Palms volunteers contribute to increased employability and a greater capacity to contribute to their wider community. Numerous health projects in which our volunteers work contain nutrition components, which both ensure basic nutrition needs are met and educate about how to continue to meet these needs. Sustainable farming projects promote diverse agriculture which meets broader nutritional needs are met, preserves the environment and can provide a cash income for producers.
