If we as coffee drinkers buy certified Fairtrade coffee we can enjoy our coffee knowing that most of what er spend does not go to a large corporation who pay as little as possible for the beans and exploit the growers in third world countries.But does it taste the way I like my coffee?
Before opening The Fair Trade Coffee Company we conducted blind tests with coffee connoisseurs to find a fabulous coffee. Without variation all rated Sacred Grounds as number one. It's an organic blend from East Timor, Papua New Guinea and Peru, roasted in Chippendale.
Although some cafés offer fair trade coffee as an option, the Fair Trade Coffee Company is different. If fair trade is only one option, this means exploitation of workers in coffee growing nations is also an acceptable option.
All of our coffee, tea and chocolate is certified Fairtrade by FTAANZ.
