Corporate CommUNITY Partners

Your business can enter into a unique partnership aimed at reducing poverty and creating a just, sustainable, interdependent and peaceful world.

Communities across Africa, Asia and the Pacific are seeking assistance to develop their skills in education, health, administration, community development, human rights and trades.

By sponsoring a Palms volunteer placement, you will be providing skills to a global community so that they are empowered to take control of their own development.

What’s more, your contribution will be magnified through the generosity of the volunteer who is giving two years of their time – over $100,000 in value.

No other form of aid is this effective or this cost effective.

You can choose to support work in a field most relevant to your business (education, health, etc.), a global region most relevant to your business or utilising a volunteer from your own region.

Palms Australia will provide regular updates on the progress of your sponsored community, including personal stories from the volunteer which provide a fascinating insight into another culture and how we can best work together to address poverty.

In 2010, Palms Australia is seeking Corporate CommUNITY Partners to support:

  • Education in Samoa, PNG, Kiribati, Timor-Leste, Tanzania and the Thai/Burma border;
  • Health in Timor-Leste and PNG;
  • Disability in Timor-Leste;
  • Community Development in Uganda and Timor-Leste;
  • Legal and Administrative Training in PNG and Kiribati;
  • HIV/AIDS programs in Uganda;

Not everyone can volunteer, but by supporting those who can you are able to be part of a positive change in the lives of many.

I do not want my house to be walled in on all sides and my windows to be stuffed. I want the cultures of all the lands
to be blown about my house as freely as possible. But I refuse to be blown off my feet by any. - Mohandas Gandhi
