Country: Kiribati

Length of placement: 2 years

Start Date: January 2010

Palms Australia seeks qualified volunteers to support teachers and schools in East Timor and Kiribati (2 positions).

Education is a priority for each of these countries as it is necessary to make improvements in all areas, including health, employment, economic development and peace. The two positions differ in addressing the specific needs of the community.

A suitable volunteer will preferably have experience as a teacher or working with teachers as well as some experience in administration and curriculum development.

Similar skills are sought for a variety of positions, though discussion of appropriate positions can take place after the completion of an application form.
