A rural secondary school in Uganda has asked Palms Australia for an agriculturalist to assist develop sustainable food production programs.

The school has land which has previously been used for farming, but has been left neglected in recent years. If utilised properly the land could provide food for the students of the school and also some income for school programs.

The volunteer would be required to work with local staff and students to share skills and expertise. This would assist the volunteer gain an understanding of the local context and conditions and assist the community develop the skills to maintain the agricultural projects beyond the volunteer's term.
